Box 12 - Rosewood Massacre

Box 12 contains materials from the Rosewood Massacre Collection dating from 1923–1994 and is arranged alphabetically by subject and record type. The folders consist of administrative, legal, and research materials related to the Rosewood Claims process, including documentation used to support public hearings, survivor testimony, and consulting work associated with the case.

This box includes folders such as Research and Consulting Agreements (1993); Public Hearing Transcripts Index and News Articles (1923–1992); Public Hearing Transcripts (March 1994) Volumes II–VIII; and Survivor Affidavits F–H (set 1).

Records found within these folders include, but are not limited to, research and consulting agreement amendments; indexes to hearing transcripts and related news articles; official Rosewood public hearing transcripts; correspondence from individuals such as Gregory Durden; survivor affidavits; draft introductions; powers of attorney; and supporting legal and administrative documentation.

Collectively, these materials document the formal investigative and legal processes surrounding the Rosewood Claims Bill, particularly the compilation of survivor testimony, public hearing proceedings, and the administrative framework used to support compensation claims.
